Calling ALL LA-Based Career Nannies who have the Travel Bug! If you’ve ever envisioned spending your summers overseas and exploring Europe with the sweetest kiddos – specifically Greece and England – keep reading! We have an amazing family based in Venice Beach with adorable 17-month-old twin girls! They are seeking the support of a full-time nanny, primarily between the hours of 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday. That said, they do need flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, and overnights. They are willing to offer more hours weekly if that’s preferred but need 40 at a minimum. Rate is $30-40/hr gross based on experience.
Both parents work from home and have a studio in the back of the house, but like to be hands-on when possible – you should be comfortable having them around, popping in and out to give the girls some love when they can! Your typical day will include maintaining their schedules, handling all meal prep for the kids (planning meals for the week ahead, grocery shopping, and cooking their meals), getting them outside regularly, keeping their rooms and play areas in order, handling their laundry, and assisting with general organizational projects. Simply put you should be comfortable wearing multiple hats – mom and dad need someone to jump in and care for the girls when they’re busy working and then tap out and handle other tasks when they’re napping or spending QT with mom and dad. You should enjoy planning age-appropriate activities, taking them to classes and outings (mom may tag along!), excel in creating a stimulating environment to foster their growth, and get excited about daily walks to the beach (they’re just down the road!) and exposing them to art and culture.
The ideal nanny is active, energetic, playful, engaging (not on your phone!), adventurous and highly organized. A strong sense of time management is KEY in this role, and you should be able to manage all tasks/duties with little to no oversight – mom and dad do not want to micromanage AKA no helicopter parents here. Additionally, an education or child development/psychology background is a HUGE plus (but not required), and they will give priority to candidates with twin or multiples experience. The family absolutely loves the water, so you should enjoy swimming (pool and open water), and be comfortable supervising the girls. Mom has a severe cat allergy, so if you an a cat owner, sadly you won’t be the right fit. This sweet family of 4 loves to travel so a valid passport and an excitement to explore the world is a MUST. Mom is from English and dad is from Greece, so summers (3-4 months) are spent in both locations, and you should plan on travel throughout the year, typically 7-14 days at a time (international and domestic). Covid vaccine + boosters required for this role, simply to ensure there will be no issues when traveling overseas. This is an AMAZING opportunity for one VERY lucky nanny, and they are interviewing NOW for an Oct 1st start date. Don’t wait – apply TODAY!
