Amazing long-term clients with three children (ages 4 and 2 year-old twins) are seeking an exceptional nanny to join their childcare team and keep their busy household on track! The schedule is typically 45-50 hours per week and will include a combination of daytime/late evenings and at least one long weekend day (family will do their best to set the schedule in advance but you must be highly flexible!) Family has another nanny who will work when you’re not, but also crossover with you – must be a team player! Rate is $30-$35/hr + applicable OT depending on experience and educational background.
The children are very artistic (love arts and crafts), playing outside, dancing, and riding their bikes. The family is bicoastal, and have homes in both Washington DC and Los Angeles (Brentwood) – you should be comfortable staying in either location for a few months at a time. They also travel in between – so please be up for an adventure! The ideal candidate for this role is a career-focused nanny who has plenty of experience working with the toddler/preschool age group, has managed multiple young children at one time, is educationally focused, and is highly organized, proactive, creative, mature, and responsible. Teaching experience is a HUGE plus!
You should be exceedingly professional, highly discreet, not easily phased by celebrity, and able to stay under the radar as well as being a pro at navigating appropriate employer/employee boundaries. Prior experience traveling with families is a huge plus as is someone who is excited about a role that includes frequent travel. This role is primarily child focused – driving to and from school and activities, managing the children’s schedule, communicating with teachers, coaches, and tutors, coordinating activities, and keeping the children’s belongings organized. You will be responsible for making sure the children’s wardrobes are organized and up-to-date – regularly going through and sorting out stained/damaged clothing or things that don’t fit, organizing and folding (Marie Kondo anyone?), rotating seasonally, and re-ordering clothing as needed. You should be a pro at packing/unpacking for travel, have lots of tricks up your sleeve to keep kids engaged while on the plane, and have a knack for turning everyday moments into learning opportunities. The family is very active and you should be too – if you’re the nanny that jumps at the opportunity to go on a hike, swim in the pool, or toss the ball around you will fit right in! Please note that when living in DC or while traveling the family will provide accommodations for you, when based in Los Angeles (their primary home) the position is live-out and you will need to have your own accommodations. Must be up-to-date on your vaccinations (including the COVID vaccine) and be willing to get an annual flu shot. Interviewing now for an IMMEDIATE start! Don’t miss this incredible opportunity!
